Jake von Marburg is a beautiful 3-4 year old German Shepherd who carries a presence as big as his 27-inch stature; he tips the scale at 94 pounds. A true "gentle giant" with a medium energy level, Jake is an easygoing companion who excels on a leash, walking next to you at a relaxed pace while exploring the world. He is happiest when he is close to his humans or dogs, often showing his quiet devotion by rubbing against your legs or approaching for head rubs once you are part of his inner circle. Jake is a social and polite greeter who does well in playgroups; he loves other dogs and has previously lived successfully with small dogs and even a guinea pig. Intelligent and already familiar with commands like "sit," "stay," and "place," this affectionate boy is simply looking for a home where he can share his calm nature and loyal heart. He used to love sitting in a big arm chair, watching his former owner sew.  Jake is one of those dogs other dogs are immediately soothed by. Watching his meet and greet with new dogs is so touching. He would do best with several others dog in his life as he thrives being part of a pack.He isn’t a fan of being by himself.
